Outdoor Adventures for Teens

OUTDOOR ADVENTURES FOR TEENS

Time to get outdoors

When you’re a teenager, life can feel like one long scroll – social media feeds, homework deadlines, endless pings and notifications. And yet, beneath all of that, most teens still crave something real – space, freedom, adventure. That’s exactly what our Outdoor Adventures for Teens deliver.

Think crackling campfires, woodland trails, hands-on challenges and a group of people laughing together without a screen in sight. It’s not about extreme survival or military drills – it’s about fun, confidence, curiosity and a little taste of independence.

We create experiences that get teenagers thinking, moving and smiling. Practical skills, teamwork, creativity – and yes, a healthy dose of mud.

There is a range of options for getting children outdoors and thriving.

Get in touch so that we can design something that suits your needs.

What does an outdoor adventure look like?

Every session is different because every group is different – but here’s a taste of what teens can expect when they join us outdoors:

  • Fire-Lighting Mastery
Discover how to spark a flame without matches, using simple tools and techniques. It’s a skill that’s older than history – and far more satisfying than clicking an electric hob.

  • Woodland Navigation Games
Phones stay in the bag – now it’s about map reading, observation and old-school direction-finding.

  • Outdoor Cooking
Because everything tastes better in the wild. Cook simple, tasty food over an open flame, and share it with your group.

  • Nature Quests and Games
Scavenger hunts, tracking challenges, and games designed to make everyone laugh and learn.

This isn’t about sitting still and listening to lectures – it’s about being in motion, using your head and hands, and feeling that little rush of pride when you make something work.

Why teens love it (and parents too)

This is the antidote to screen fatigue and indoor routines. Our outdoor adventures are exciting without being intimidating, structured without feeling like school. Teens walk away with:

Confidence – Learning practical skills and achieving something real
Independence – A safe environment to explore freedom and decision-making
Teamwork skills – Whether friends or strangers, they leave as a team
A sense of calm – Nature reduces stress and clears the mind
Unforgettable memories – Because these moments stick for life

Parents love it because:

  • It’s healthy, active and creative

  • It offers time away from screens

  • It builds resilience and social skills

  • It’s led by experienced, DBS-checked instructors who understand teens

“Chris established an excellent rapport with our students from the start, getting them excited and actively engaged as soon as they arrived for our residential. Not only did he demonstrate a strong understanding of how to manage a large group of children, his interaction with students was always positive and developmentally appropriate. Chris was clearly concerned about the social and emotional well-being of our students, and the activities on offer masterfully balanced play, imagination, adventure, and outdoor skills. It was such a memorable and high quality nature-based learning experience, that we asked him to return the following year.”

What we're aiming for

We’re not here to toughen kids up or push them to their limits. We’re here to show them that life outdoors can be fun, relaxing and empowering. Every activity is designed to:

  • Encourage confidence and curiosity

  • Give teens space to be themselves

  • Help them find joy in nature, without pressure

The goal? That they walk away feeling lighter, happier and more capable than when they arrived.

Who is it for?

  • Individuals – Perfect for teens who want to try something different and make new friends

  • Parents looking for weekend or holiday activities – A refreshing change from the usual options

  • Schools and youth groups – Brilliant for enrichment, resilience building and teamwork

  • Community projects and well-being programmes – We’ve worked with many organisations to support mental health and personal growth

Why choose Chris Packe?

Where we run our outdoor adventures for teens

We don’t stick to one site – the outdoors is too big for that! We work across Sussex and Kent in some of the most beautiful woodland and countryside settings around. We also run expeditions to Dartmoor and The Peak District.
